Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) SSI specialty | Scooter
If you want to make the most of your bottom time and have more fun on your dives, try underwater scooter or diver propulsion vehicle (DPV) diving.

A DPV (Diver Propulsion Vehicle) is an underwater scooter that allows you to visit a larger area in a single, adventurous dive than you could ever do in a normal dive. With this scooter, for example, you’ll get to the wreck which is just a bit further away and you also have time to look at it before you run out of air. Because you hardly have to fins yourself, so you use less energy and therefore air, you can probably stay under water longer.
This SSI Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) OR SCOOTER is available in Dahab, South Sinai and designed to help you dive for longer, explore further and cover a large area!
During this SSI specialty we dive with a DPV with which you can reach a speed of up to 7 km / h. You learn all about how the scooter works. How do I switch between the different speeds, how do I hold it, what is my position under water, how do I steer, how do I get my ears done while riding the scooter and much more. You already understand that there is a lot involved in the (safe) use of an underwater scooter and that you do not just jump into the water with such a scooter.
Besides all the practical advantages of scuba diving, DPV diving is especially fun, and of course the most importantly a very instructive SSI specialty, as you will experience a great diving fun during the 3 dives that we are going to make with DPV!
